What a weekend!

What a weekend!

18/2/2018. Wow!!! What an incredible weekend of gigs.

Friday night, Music In Parks Blues Legends. A great crowd, beautiful weather, fantastic vibe, supporting Midge Marsden’s last appearance at Blockhouse Bay. Our thanks to the Auckland Council for putting on this annual free event. We had an absolute blast playing our set and catching up with friends, family and some old faces.

Saturday. 5am Left Auckland on a six hour drive to Waipukurau for the inaugural River Park Blues Fest. Privileged to share the bill with Laura Collins band, Kokomo and Brilleaux with some incredible performances for a great crowd. Thanks to Graham and John for staging such an awesome event in that beautiful weather and wonderful Hawkes Bay hospitality. Hope we get to do it again next year people.

Sunday. 8 am and bleary eyed, we’re back on the road to make our 2pm slot for the Hamilton Blues Society at Biddy Mulligans. Joined by Hamiltonian and good buddy Darcy Perry, we had a great time entertaining the enthusiastic blues fans. Enjoyed hearing Dave Wilkinson’s new band as well as Black Sheep. Really was lotsa fun. Thanks Dean and the team for inviting us to be part of this showcase.

6-15pm Auckland. WHEW!! Made it back before our Leave Passes expired.
